Mission

Our mission is to engage you in the intellectual and the social life of the Soochow Alumni Club. We do this through various international and domestic communications. The SCUAA is not a dues-paying organization, nor do we make money for the alumni club. But we do raise money for our Alma Meta in the Taipei campus with our completely dedicated HEART. We hope that you too will take advantage of the opportunities offered by the alumni club to connect with one another, to remain intellectually engaged, and to serve others through volunteer opportunities both with the alumni clubs and the communities in which they reside.

The Soochow University Alumni Association (SCUAA), with web site scuaala.blogspot.com, is the official association of all alumni of Soochow University. Its regular members include recipients of all degrees granted by the University and Extension programs, as well as the members of all University Faculties, scholars, and families.

The purpose of the alumni club is to promote the welfare of Soochow University and to establish a mutually beneficial relationship between Soochow University and its alumni. The SCUAA helps alumni connect with the University and with fellow graduates through a wealth of Club activities, continuing education programs, online services, and alumni events around the world.

The SCUAA alumni have constitutional duties to nominate candidates for Club House Work Team and elect SCUAA Board of Directors. The main work of the Association is carried out by standing committees of the club house work team and Board of Directors, with each director serving on at least one committee. These committees cover such areas as annual conference, fund-raising, communications, web design, and reunions.
